Dr. Marc Allen
Dr. Allen has been a dedicated long Islander his entire life. He grew up in Commack, on the North Shore of Long Island. He subsequently attended Stony Brook University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Dual Major in Psychology and Biochemistry. In his pre-Med years at Stony Brook he spent much of his time involved with AIDS and HIV research.
Dr. Allen began his Medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medical School which is known especially for it focus on Primary Care and Preventative Medicine. He flourished in his education, scoring a 99th percentile on all three parts of his Medical School Board Exams. He achieved Deans List Recognition in nearly all of his coursework. He was also one of the founding members of the Phi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society.
After landing his first choice in the National Medical Residency Match Program, he soon entered North Shore University Hospital’s renowned and revered Primary Care Track Internal Medicine Residency Program. This is a very competitive program for selected Physicians that decide early on that their goal is Primary Care and Disease Prevention. Candidates must demonstrate their academic ability to absorb the vast amount of ever growing multi- specialty knowledge. Dr. Allen quickly stood out amongst his peers for his intellectual abilities and teaching skills. He was subsequently nominated for North Shore University Hospitals’ highest recognition of academic achievement and was given the title “Best Teaching Resident”.
After completing his Residency training in 2002, he sat for the American Board of Internal Medicine Exams. Again, he scored the highest possible score possible landing him in the top 10 percent of Internists in the Country. Dr. Allen is currently an active member of the American Medical Association and the New York State Medical Society. He is now a Diplomate of the American Board Of Internal Medicine and is recognized for his participation in their Maintenance of Certification Program. He has never had a Malpractice Claim against him in his almost 15 years of training. He currently serves as an attending physician at both Huntington Hospital and St. Catherines Hospital in Smithtown.
Dr. Allen currently holds the title of Assistant Clinical Professor at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ Medical school. He dedicates much of his time to Educating Medical Students in Primary Care and Disease Prevention. These Medical Students can often be seen with Doctor Allen side by side meeting and interacting with his Patients.
In 2016, Dr. Allen, together with Dr. Jennifer McMonigle, opened the Allen-McMonigle Medical Associates Medical Building. A newly constructed 5,000 square foot State of the Art Medical facility serving the Smithtown Area.
Dr. Allen currently resides in Fort Salonga with his Wife and 2 children. He enjoys playing the Piano and practicing the Martial Arts.
Dr. Jennifer McMonigle
Dr. McMonigle grew up in West Hempstead, New York. She completed her undergraduate education at SUNY Cortland where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry and Sociology. During her undergraduate years she worked as a laboratory assistant conducting Stem Cell Research.
After college Dr. McMonigle attended The NYU masters in biology program while working as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate program.
Dr. McMonigle began her Medical Education at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating Medical school in 2001 she completed an internship in internal medicine at Nassau University Medical Center and subsequently began her Residency training in Neurology at Stony Brook University Hospital. During her last year of residency she served as chief resident. Following residency Dr McMonigle continued at Stony Brook University to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology.
Dr McMonigle is a Diplomat of the American board of Neurology where she has held board certification since 2007. She is an active Member of the American Academy of Neurology.
In 2016, Dr. McMonigle together with Dr. Marc Allen, opened the Allen-McMonigle Medical Associates Medical Building. A newly constructed 5,000 square foot State of the Art Medical facility serving the Smithtown Area. Dr McMonigle has built an amazing reputation in the Medical community. She receives referrals from Primary Care Physicians, other Neurologists, and a variety of other Medical Specialists in the Long Island Area.
Dr. McMonigle currently resides in Fort Salonga with her Husband and 2 children. She studies Martial Arts and is an avid animal lover.
Jennifer Moldovan, PA
Jennifer Moldovan grew up in Brooklyn and attended the prestigious Bronx High School of Science. From there she went to Worcester Polytechnic Institute and earned her Bachelors degree in Biology. Finally she went to Hofstra University through the Physician Assistant program and graduated in 2007. She did a variety of internships in different specialties in hospitals and clinics throughout Long Island, and finally settled on Internal Medicine because it offered a wide variety of diseases to cure.
Jennifer currently lives in West Islip with her husband and daughter. In her free time she enjoys dancing and playing with her dogs.
Ashley Kump, NP
Ashley Kump ANP RN,BSN graduated from Molloy College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Upon becoming certified as a Registered Nurse, Ashley spent the next four and a half years working on a medicine/acute care floor at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Ashley went on to obtain her Masters Degree in Nursing, obtaining her Nurse Practitioner certification through State University of New York at Stonybrook. Ashley is currently an active member of the NP Association of Long Island.
Ashley enjoys spending her free time enjoying the outdoors, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Sarah Neek, NP
Sarah Neek grew up in Greenlawn, NY and she’s lived on Long Island her entire life. Eager to start her academic career, she graduated from Harborfields High School at the age of 16 and enrolled in classes at Stony Brook University. She graduated with a B. S. in Psychology with a double minor in Biology and Chemistry in 2010. She then continued her education at Stony Brook and completed the Accelerated 1 year Nursing program in 2011.
She worked at Stony Brook University Hospital for almost 6 years as a registered nurse on a busy medical telemetry floor. She decided to advance her career and became a Nurse Practitioner in 2017. Throughout her schooling she participated in clinical opportunities on eastern Long Island where she learned a lot about tick borne illnesses that are on the rise in our area.
She went above and beyond to become certified in Medical Surgical Nursing while going to school for her Nurse Practitioner. She’s currently involved with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Long Island and enjoys going to their annual conference to keep up on the latest advances in medical care.
